Generators for Astara modular electrical power station (MEPS) have been delivered from Finland, the Azerenerji JSC press-release says, Trend reports.
One of the generators is already in Astara. According to MEPS director Ismail Mehtiyev, the contractor, the Finnish Warstila company and the subcontractor вЂ" the Azerbaijan’s AZENCO company carry out active works for accomplishment of the construction in the designed time, till the end of 2005.
AZENCO is currently constructing modular power stations in Sheki and Hachmaz. The Astara MEPS will consist of 10 modules (per 8,7 МWt each), and will be the first from 52, which Azerenerji plans to commission in 2005-2006. The power stations’ total capacity will be 450-460 МWt.
