On Thursday Natig Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister, had a meeting with Nika Gilauri, the Georgian Energy Minister, an informed source told Trend.
In particular, the sides discussed purchase of additional gas by Georgia. There is a contract on purchase and sale of 0.7bn cu m gas between Georgia and the partners on Shah-Deniz.
The Georgian delegation did not hold negotiations with Azerigaz JSC on Thursday, the source said.
The sides also discussed transition of Iranian gas to Georgia through the Azerbaijan’s territory.
