The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), developing the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) off-shore fields bloc produced during 2005 totally 13,185 million tons of the Azeri Light brand oil on the contract area, which is for 6,617 million tons more of 2004.
In 2005, from the total amount AIOC produced 7,028 million tons of oil at the Chirag field and 6.109 million tons from the Azeri field, AIOC told Trend. AIOC started producing the first oil from Azeri on 13 February 2005.
In December the company produced 1,485 tons of oil at ACG (Azeri plus Chirag), which is for 0,055 million tons less of the previous month and for 0,857 thousand tons more of December 2005, AIOC told Trend. AIOC extracted 617,9 thousand tons at Chirag in December 2005 and 868,000 tons at Azeri.
