BOS Shelf is involved in the work within the projects for Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. The Company has plans on participation in the Kashagan field, Trend reports quoting Richard Maky, the Director General of BOS Shelf.

Nevertheless, a key condition for development of these markets is to adhere to a tax agreement like the agreement applied to the Russian sites in Astrakhan, which are our main rivals at this segment of the market, he noted.

Earlier Heydar Babayev, the Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development, said the Ministry drawn up documents on establishment of privileged conditions for BOS Shelf. It may urge the Company to choose Baku as location for execution of its contract work in other countries of the regions.

The matter is tax privileges. Application of privileges and placement of the Company in Azerbaijan will allow preserve jobs at the site of the H.Aliyev Deepwater Foundation Plant, where Bos Shelf works. The Company is involved in construction of foot blocks within the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project. Thus, the Azerbaijani citizens working for the company will be able to preserve their jobs and continue work after the completion of construction at the order by Р'Р .

Maky stressed that the Kazakh market did not require construction of foot blocks, as it located in shallow water. Development methods are envisaged either for self-floating structure or land construction. We already provide floating market through our expanded opportunities on our pier, Maky added.
