Several big Turkish companies involved in the countrys energy sector are considering opportunities for refinery of Azerbaijani oil supplied by the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline to the port. BTC Cobased sources told Trend that Turkey could purchase up to 20 million tons of oil with further refinery at its oil refinery plants (ORP) when BTC project works on full capacity of 50 million tons a year.
It will enable the Turkish entrepreneurs to obtain comparatively chapter and high quality to produce large list if light oil products, the same source underlined.
The Turkish company Г‡alД±k Grubu together with Д°ndian Oil Company (IOC) is considering opportunities for the construction of the ORP in Ceyhan with the capacity of 200,000 barrels of oil a day. The initial cost of the projects is estimated to $2bn.
