The State Commission has accepted the commission of a new five-block platform #1887 on deposit of Neft Dashlari (Oil Rocks), which was built by SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), Trend reports referring to a message spread by SOCAR.
The message says that 32 wells are expected to be drilled on the platform. 1,000 tons of oil per day is expected to be produced from the wells. In addition the existing rig facility installed on the platform, and another one will be put into operation. The first rig has already been complete. The depth of the well reaches 1,800 meters. The well is expected to be put into operation in January, 2007.
The message spread by SOCAR says that two years ago, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev posed a task to the oilmen to increase the oil production on Neft Dashlari from 821,000 tons up to 1,2 mln. tons per year. In order to implement it, SOCAR planned to build 6 platforms with 78 wells on the deposit till 2010.
A three-deck platform with a gas turbine station in Neft Dashlari has been put into commission this year. In 2006, electric lines, and oil pipeline have been laid there. The construction of the facilities of communal services has been complete.
In the first half of 2007, a two-deck platform #2387 with 12 wells are expected to be put into commission on Neft Dashlari deposit.
