Azerbaijan to Export Remnant Petrol Volumes in 2007

Oil&Gas Materials 26 December 2006 16:14 (UTC +04:00)

Davud Mammadov, SOCAR Vice-President on Oil refinery, informed Trend that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will not suspend the installation of catalyst reforming at the Heydar Aliyev Refinery Oil Plan in the beginning of 2007 as it was expected earlier.

That is explained by the fact that the main plant producing petrol in the country the catalist cracking plant operates on mazut.

Due to Azerbaijan turning to mazut regime, the cracking regime will work at the restricted capacities, said Mr. Mammadov. Therefore, the plant will operate to provide the country with petrol.

Due to the operation of such plants in the country, domestic needs in petrol will be fuly provided. The issue on the petrol export is under consideration now. The export might be suspended completely, said the SOCAR Vice-Pesident.
