The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed Trend that two more wells will be drilled in south part of West Absheron field with Absheron drilling rig. The depth of the well is approximately 850m.
Drilling, with the help of KHazar-4, is currently taking place in this portion of the field.
At present the rig completed drilling in one of the fields and is preparing to drill the next well in this portion of the field. The depth is approximately 800m, the SOCAR said.
In total, there are plans to drill 12 pre-drilling wells from the field.
After completion of the drilling they will be conserved for further production from the platform, the company stated.
