KfW and Azerbaijan Government Agreed on Conditions of Credit on Construction of Transmission Lines AzDRES - Imishli

The process of a credit agreement between German KfW and the Azerbaijan Government on the project of construction of transmission lines AzDRES вЂ" Imishli completed, a source in the Cabinet of Ministers of The country told Trend.

By the request of the Azerbaijan Government, the German side has mitigated the credit conditions. According to agreement, the credit will be considered for 12 years with the lax period of two years. The credit will be presented with eurobor+0%, but eurobor will be defined in accordance with the rate of the moment when the agreement is signed. The Cabinet of Ministers charged Azereneji to engage in agreeing the credit contract with the German side and bring the agreement into conformity. The date of signing the credit will depend on the completion of their preparation.

The Bank granted в'¬ 30 mln. and paid 85% of the cost of the project. The project envisages the construction of transmission lines with the length of 195 km from AzDRES to Imishli. A power station is expected to be constructed in Goranboy. In addition, the field of supply in the Imishli Power Substation with the capacity of 330 KWatt is expected to be widened through installing a separate cell. After the construction of the transmission lines is complete, their capacity will increase from existing 200 MWatt up to 700 MWatt.
