Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.V.Mammadov / Shubay Nasibov, the deputy chief of the Ganja Administration on gas exploitation, stated on 6 July that gas payments in Ganja city was increased three times in June as compared to the same period in 2006.
Some 6.9mln cu m of gas on AZN 287,047 was sold to population in 2006. The sum of payments made up AZN 202,074. The figure was lower (24.5%) in June 2006.
According to Nasibov, payments collection from population, including budget, industry and other organizations, in June amount to AZN 388,089, which made up 90.8% of used gas.
Ganja is 365km far away from Baku.
