With the financial support of the Bank of Georgia, first annual Livestock Expo 2019 exhibition was held in Georgia on October 26, Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.
The goal of the exhibition was to promote competitiveness in the dairy and meat sectors of Georgia as well as genetically modified livestock and local livestock breeds. The exhibition was also aimed at attracting investment in livestock for the further development of the dairy and meat industry in the country.
At the exhibition, livestock varieties were assessed by Georgian and Estonian experts and the winners were determined. During the exhibition, farmers could familiarize themselves with the latest technologies, including livestock equipment and other ancillary products displayed at 35 information stands.
The livestock exhibition was attended by farmers, cattle importers, scientists, manufacturers and importers of animal feed, agricultural suppliers, and representatives of financial organizations, professional and industry associations.
Livestock Expo provided the participants with a good opportunity to develop business partnership, while the visitors also had a chance to taste local dairy products and learn about local dairy producers.
