Turkmenistan working on dev’t of foreign loans in construction, industrial sector

Foreign loans totaling about $2.7 billion have been attracted to the construction and industrial sector of Turkmenistan in recent years, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

To date, 69.4 percent of the above-mentioned loans have been used.

Currently, Turkmenistan is building numerous facilities with a total cost of more than $38 billion, most of which are for social and household purposes.

The work for more than $18 billion is carried out by domestic construction and installation organizations.

The plan for the manufacture of products and the implementation of work in the construction and industrial sector of Turkmenistan was exceeded by 29.8 percent from January through February 2021.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan surpassed projections in the construction sector by 5.9 percent, with a growth rate of 2 percent.

From January through February of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production exceeded the plan for the production and implementation of works by 18.8 percent, with a growth rate of 13 percent.

The plan for the work performed and the services provided in the administrative center of the city of Ashgabat was exceeded by 13.3 percent.

In the first month of this year, the plan for the manufacture of products and the implementation of works in the construction and industrial sector of Turkmenistan was exceeded by 31.6 percent.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan surpassed projections in the construction sector by 6.2 percent, with a growth rate of 2.4 percent.
