BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The monetary base in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.3 billion manat ($8.4 billion) as of March 31, 2022, which is 2.7 percent or 414 million manat ($243.5 million) more compared to the previous month, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the CBAR, the monetary base increased by 7.8 percent or 1.04 billion manat ($611.7 million) year on year. At the same time, the monetary base in March 2021 amounted to 13.3 billion manat ($7.8 billion).
The monetary base includes cash and free bank and required reserves of commercial banks in circulation.
