BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Iranian banks issued loans worth 4.47 quadrillion rials (about $106 billion) in the country’s trade sector, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, loans worth 142 trillion rials (about $3.38 billion) were issued in connection with the establishment of enterprises and other opportunities in the trade sector during the reporting period.

"Over last Iranian year, 2.06 quadrillion rials (about $49.1 billion) worth of loans were issued in the trade sector as working capital," the statistics said.

Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans 9.63 trillion rials (about $229 million) for the repairs related to enterprises and 255 trillion rials (about $6.07 billion) for the development of enterprises in the trade sector, statistics said.

At the same time, 1.98 quadrillion rials (about $47.3 billion) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of personal assets, and 7.51 trillion rials (about $179 million) for the purchase of housings, and 5.4 trillion rials (about $129 million) for other purposes in the trade sector.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 29.7 quadrillion rials (about $707 billion) in various economic sectors over the last Iranian year.

The figure stood at 10.4 quadrillion rials (about $248 billion) in the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
