Azerbaijani IT Institution to Present Three Projects at BakuTel 2007

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / The Azerbaijani IT Institution (ITI) in the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will present three projects at the 13th international exhibition and conference of Telecommunications and Informational Technologies (BakuTel 2007) to take place in Baku on 21 to 24 November. According to the director of ITI Rasim Aliguliyev, the first presentation includes problems and solutions of scientific and technical researches linked with implementation of the state program on creation of biometric identification system; the second one includes a conceptual model of governing system based on Geography Information System (GIS) within the framework of the Electronic Government program; the third one includes suggestions and ways of settlement of problems regarding training of IT specialists.

The presentations will be held by the ITI scientists.

"All these presentations have practical application and can positively affect enhancement of IT field," Aliguliyev said.

This year BakuTel 2007 is supported by world telecommunication organizations - the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Regional Communication Commonwealth (RCC) and the UN Global Alliance for IT and Development (GAID).

The exhibition will include some 150 companies from 30 countries.
