Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The last 12th monitoring over bird flu in Azerbaijan in 2007 was launched, a source stated from the State Veterinary Service at the Agricultural Ministry.
The monitoring will be continued to 27 December.
The monitoring will be held in the Absheron Peninsula including costal line in the Caspian Sea, in Davachi, Salyan, Agjabadi and Lankaran. Monitoring will be held by a special commission which unites figures from Veterinary Service, Health, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and Hunter Union.
The results of laboratory examinations will be announced on 28 December.
In 2007 the State Veterinary Service implemented which examined more than 8,000 samples of wild and domestic birds. No virus was reported.
