Azerbaijan determined nominees of ‘E-education’ competition

Experts and members of the jury of the republican competition "E-education" chose 89 nominees from 810 projects submitted to the competition by contenders, Education System Informatization Department under the Azerbaijani Education Ministry said.

Experts and members of the jury of the republican competition "E-education" chose 89 nominees from 810 projects submitted to the competition by contenders, Education System Informatization Department under the Azerbaijani Education Ministry said.

The competition, which is one of the main directions within the "Year of the ICT in Education"  announced by the Ministry in 2010, is held within the state program on informatization of the education system in Azerbaijan in 2008-2012 with the support of Microsoft Azerbaijan, programs of Corporation Intel "Education for the Future" , AZEDUNET, Ultra, Azerfon-Vodafone, HP and "Madad".

The competition is organized on two directions: "E-educational resources in the modern school" and "Internet technologies in education".

On the direction the "E-educational resources in the modern school" 29 projects are contenders for victory in the nomination "The best technique to use IT in teaching the subjects", 15 projects - in the nomination "The best technique for the using of IT in primary schools and 28 projects in the nomination "Best Model of the educational process, created with the use of e-educational resources".

On the direction of the "Internet technologies in education" contenders for victory are 10 projects in the category "Internet Resources in Education" and seven projects in the category "Teachers' Blogs".
