Azerbaijan, Baku, August 5 / Trend H. Valiyev /

The Communications and IT Ministry has prepared legal documents to create necessary conditions for Azerbaijani IT-companies to join foreign markets, Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said.

"The main goal we are facing today is an early solution to the problem to create necessary conditions to expand business of local IT-companies on foreign markets and increase their competitiveness", Abbasov said.

Minister said that the work is carried out within creation of regional innovation zones in Azerbaijan. It will be implemented in several stages.

The project includes five areas, which will play an important role in its implementation. The list of main areas to be implemented include the establishment of DATA-center, human resources development, development of small and medium entrepreneurship, attracting investments and export capacity.

One of important issues in the implementation of the project is to reduce tax, social and customs duties.

The project envisages establishment of technology parks to develop innovative entrepreneurship, a regional base for the production and export of software and high-tech equipment, as well as transform the country into an efficient transit information center. Positive solving of these issues will create favorable conditions for the import of products to Azerbaijan.

According to the ministry, revenue growth will reach $ 12 billion by 2020 as a result of successful implementation of the project.
