Cuba's Vice-President Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz instructed the country's relevant structures to fulfill the tasks arising from the intergovernmental agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Cuba on cooperation in ICT, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry reported on Monday.
Ruiz hailed the possibility of Azerbaijani companies' investing in the ICT sector of Cuba and the sale of high-tech products on the markets of Cuba and South America.
He attached great importance to the signed agreement and ongoing negotiations, which, he said, "will play an important role in strengthening the Azerbaijan-Cuba economic relations ".
During the Cuba visit, the Azerbaijani delegation led by Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba. Following the meeting it was decided to establish a joint working group, the first meeting of which was held on the same day. Abbasov also met with the leadership of the postal administration of Cuba.
