Azerbaijan and Austria made the primary decision on cooperation in information and communication technologies.
The issue was considered during the sixth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Austrian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economy, agriculture, industry, engineering and technology, held in Baku.
Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov is the co-chairman from the Azerbaijani side, Deputy Minister of Economy, Family and Youth Josef Mayer - from the Austrian side.
The parties reached an agreement on cooperation in the areas of regulation of telecommunication market, the exchange of experience in the field of nanotechnologies, the creation of technology parks, as well as the money transfers between postal operators in Azerbaijan and Austria.
The recommendations on cooperation in the ICT were fixed in the protocol, which will be signed after the meeting between Ali Abbasov and Josef Mayer.
