The state fund to support IT development will contribute to strengthening the ICT industry in Azerbaijan, Deputy Communications and IT Minister Elmir Valizadeh told journalists on Monday.
He noted that the fund will directly provide financial assistance to start-up companies in the production of export orientation products. "Specific goals are to make Azerbaijan a leading nation. The non-oil and the ICT sectors play an important role in this respect," Valizadeh
said.
President Ilham Aliyev orderd to establish the fund on March 15. It will be financed by the state budget and all segments of the population will benefit.
