Azerbaijan reduces number of computer security queries

The number of queries relating to computer security in Azerbaijan reduced 4.3 percent to 201 in July 2014 compared to June, according to a report of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Azerbaijani Special State Protection Service.
Around 8.5 percent of the total number of requests were reviewed and approved in July, according to the statement.
The largest number of incidents as of January-July 2014 was recorded in May - 275 units, of which 267 were prevented, according to CERT statistics.
Around 11 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant organizations in July 2014 on the basis of CERT audit on information security.
Three new subdomains were registered in the Azerbaijani sector of the Internet in July 2014, which are commonly used by the organizations to create unique website names for their units or services related to the organization.
