The Ministry of railway transport of Turkmenistan is implementing work aimed at improvement of passenger service and growth of passenger turnover, the ministry stated.
The online schedule of passenger trains is available now at: www.railway.gov.tm.
A special application for mobile phones on Android and iOS platforms entitled as "Demirýol" has also been developed for easy access, which allows passengers to be aware of the direction of movement of trains in online mode.
The schedule has been posted in Turkmen, English and Russian languages and allows for instantly finding the desired route.
"For this purpose, the website visitors must specify the points of departure and destination, meanwhile choosing the type of train – passenger, express or additional. The information about the numbers of the desired trains, the exact time of their departure and arrival, as well as the hours and titles of stops on the way will be available to the users after completion of the search," the message says.
An additional ticket office for sale of railway tickets was also opened at the "Kerwen" hotel in the "Avaza" national tourist zone, in order to improve the level of customer service, which will allow tourists staying at the hotel, to buy at any time new or change already purchased tickets.
