President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the equipment produced by leading Chinese company Huawei, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.
Mirziyoyev praised the use of artificial intelligence technologies, and also asked about the fate of projects that have already been implemented in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Huawei, and how the company trains specialists.
“Before attracting new technologies, it is very important to prepare and upgrade the skills of specialists who will use them. It is necessary to cooperate with the company primarily in this direction, to accelerate the introduction of 5G technologies in Uzbekistan," the president said.
The 5G networks allow exchanging information in real time at speeds above 10 Gbit per second, which is 30 times faster than in 4G networks. 5G technologies also provide minimal response time when downloading data and a large network capacity. The first country in the world to use 5G networks was South Korea.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also discussed with the company's founder, Ren Zhengfei, the development of the Safe City, Electronic Government, Emergency Medical Services and other systems in Uzbekistan.
The press service states that at the end of the meeting the parties agreed on the development of cooperation in the field of modern information and communication technologies.
Huawei Technologies is one of the largest global companies in the field of digitalization and telecommunication technologies.
The main areas of its activity are the production of innovative information products and solutions, data transmission systems, optical devices, network equipment, data centers, as well as smartphones, tablets, computers, household appliances.
The President of Uzbekistan arrived on the eve of China at the invitation of PRC President Xi Jinping. The head of state will take part in the events of the II International Forum "One Belt - One Way."
Shavkat Mirziyoyev has already met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. In particular, the leaders discussed the increase in trade between the two countries to $10 billion.
