The Azerbaijan Minister of Communications and InformationTechnologies (CIT) Ali Abbasov departed today to Lisbon at the invitation of the Portugal government and the Microsoft corporation mangement, the MCIT press release disseminated on 30 January reports, according to Trend.
The goal of the ministers visit is to take part in the В"Forum of leaders and government of Europe in the information technologies-2006 field, held under the Microsoft company assistance. The event will take place in Lisbon from 30 January to 3 February.
The release also says, Abbasov will make a speech at the meeting.
Meetings of the minister with the Microsoft board chairman Bill Gates, a number of CIT ministers from a lot of countries, leaders of the largest IT companies is expected within the visit.
