( Mobilemag ) - We're not sure how many opportunities you're going to have to take your camcorder underwater with you, unless you're a shallow-water diver or someone who spends more than a passing fancy in the sea, but you can get yet another waterproof camcorder all the same. This one is from Sanyo, and it's the Xact E1, which can capture your underwater frolicking to the tune or H.264 or MPEG-4 formats.
We say shallow-water diver, too, because the guaranteed success level of this little baby is just 5 feet. We're not saying it totally won't work at the bottom of a lake or the deep end of a swimming pool; we're just passing along what Sanyo is cautioning against.
The E1, the latest in the popular Xacti line, weighs just 6 ounces while carrying a 2.5-inch LCD, 5x optical zoom, and an SD(HC) slot.
