Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Azerbaijan's leading mobile operator Azercell Telecom JV has put into operation an international roaming service with Indian BSNL (GSM 900/1800) and one-sided with Ethiopian ETC operator (ETC subscribers in Azercell network). This is the sixth roaming agreement with Indian mobile companies and the first one with an Ethiopian. Azercell subscribers are able to use services of Indian Sterling Cellular, Hutchicon Max Telecom ( Orange), BPL Cellular Limited, BPL Mobile Communications, and Bharti (Airtel) Cellular operators.
Azercell Telecom JV has hitherto signed 330 roaming agreements with mobile communication operators from 138countries around the world.
