Beytulla Husyenov, the Director General of Baki Telefon Rabitasi, said that this issue will more likely be included in the agenda after the completion of reconstruction of the communications network of Baku and regions of Azerbaijan.
Several tariff packages have been developed in case of application of limits. The packages were developed with consideration of different categories of subscribers, both business groups and low income users.
"The application of limits is just a matter of time. It is widely used in many countries," he assured.
In particular, from 1 June 2007, the monthly subscription fee for telephone calls will be increased to AZN 2 from the current AZN 0.7 and long-distance telephone calls within the country will be reduced from AZN 0.09 to AZN 0.07 per minute.
The tariff for international telephone calls for all subscribers are being reduced as follows:
- CIS and Baltic countries - from AZN 0.45 to AZN 0.36,
- Iran, Turkey, Pakistan - from AZN 0.54 to AZN 0.45,
- European countries - from AZN 0.72 to AZN 0.54,
- USA and other countries - from AZN 0.9 to AZN 0.54
