In June 2018, 47,812 Belarus tourists visited Turkey, which is 14.24 percent more compared to June 2017, the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry told Trend on August 29.
Belarus citizens accounted for 1.06 percent of the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in June 2018, compared to 1.2 percent in June 2017.
Some 5,091,496 tourists visited Turkey in June 2018, which is 28.49 percent more than in the same month of 2017.
The Turkish province of Antalya was visited by 1,933,899 tourists in June 2018, which is 42.92 percent of the total number of tourists. Istanbul was visited by 1,100,389 people, which is 24.42 percent of the total number of tourists who visited Turkey during the period.
Turkey was visited by 451,699 tourists from Germany, 306,647 tourists from the UK, 241,095 tourists from Ukraine, and 210,989 tourists from Bulgaria during June. Tourists from the rest of the world amounted to 3,881,066.
