Iran to accelerate release of essential goods from customs

TEHRAN, Iran, Sep.28

Trend:

Iranian President has called for the prompt release of essential goods from the country's customs offices and demanded more collaboration from related organizations.

"The related organizations should use the Comprehensive Trading System to release basic materials and necessary goods during the current situation," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

"It is necessary to operate the Comprehensive Trading System to create transparency and collect data from export and import that would help businessmen and accelerate trade," he noted.

"It is important to have transparency in registering orders and commodity distribution in Comprehensive Trading System and data in the system could be available to the public and businesses," he said.

"No commodity should be waiting to be released from the country's customs. The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Affair and the Central Bank of Iran should implement necessary cooperation to accelerate the release of imported goods," he added.

The Comprehensive Trade System is expected to replace the smart business card system and provide comprehensive services to the businessmen.
