Iran declares volume of cargo loaded, unloaded at Chabahar port

A total of about 150,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

While in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), 239,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port, the report added.

According to the report, about 5,680 tons of goods were loaded and 144,000 tons were unloaded in the sixth month of current Iranian year.

“During the reporting month, 220 tons of goods were exported and 13,000 tons were imported through the Chabahar port,” the report said.

As many as 756 tons of goods were loaded and 23,800 tons were unloaded for transit through this port over the sixth month.

According to the report, at the same time, 107,000 tons of goods were unloaded for cabotage in the port.

About 749 tons of goods were unloaded for transshipment at Chabahar port within the sixth month.

“More than 4,700 tons of goods were loaded for other purposes over the same month at this port,” the report noted.

According to the report, 23,000 tons of essential products, 20 tons of metal products, 749 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 1,900 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 83 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded at the Chabahar port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

“In addition, 469 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 771 tons of other goods, 16,200 tons of container products and 107,000 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded during the reporting month,” the report said.

In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
