Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iran’s Astara port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Astara port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 28.8 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 18,800 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Astara port in the eighth month. Of this, 11,600 tons were loaded and 7,200 tons were unloaded.

About 11,600 tons of cargo were exported and 4,310 tons were imported through the Astara port over the reporting month.

Also, 2,880 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit during the 8th month.

According to the statistics, 2,620 tons of essential products, 730 tons of metal products, 6,720 tons of construction and mining materials were loaded and unloaded in the Astara port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 8 tons of equipment, vehicles, spare parts, 6,130 tons of chemicals, 1,640 tons of leather goods, clothing, wood materials, paper and so on, 1 tons of small and assorted goods and 996 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

About 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
