BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. Azerbaijan increased volume of imported vehicles from January through February 2022, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 11,145, up by 1,708 vehicles (18 percent) on annual basis.
The majority of imports fell on passenger cars – 10,340, which is 1,721 vehicles (16.64 percent) more than in the first two months 2021. Of them, 87 microbuses, 57 electric and 2,032 hybrid vehicles were imported.
Imports of hybrid vehicles from January through February last year increased by 990 (95 percent) compared to 2M2021 (1,042).
Meanwhile, the number of imported trucks increased by 12.68 percent over the year and reached 668 (compared to 765 trucks in 2M2021).
From January through February this year, Azerbaijan imported road vehicles worth $125.4 million, up by $25.3 million (20.2 percent) on annual basis.
