A Russian spacecraft carrying three crew members from the International Spapce Station landed safely in the steppes of Kazakhstan early Monday, an official said, dpa reported.

A Russian spacecraft carrying three crew members from the International Spapce Station landed safely in the steppes of Kazakhstan early Monday, an official said, dpa reported.

Russian cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin and US astronaut Joseph Acaba touched down in the Soyuz capsule at 8:52 am (0252 GMT) after 125 days in orbit on the station, according to mission control in Moscow.

The station's current crew, Russia's Yury Malenchenko, Sunita Williams from the United States and Japanese astronaut Akihito Hoshide, are due to be relieved in October.
