Russian investors will start implementing projects worth 3.6 billion tenge in Kazakhstan's Atyrau region, Trend reports citing the Kazakh media.
The issue was discussed during the meeting of the Akim of the Atyrau region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov with businessmen.
By the summer, the investors will begin the construction of workshops for the production of textile polypropylene and geosynthetics in the Atyrau region.
“To create an investment climate that meets modern requirements, large-scale legal work has been carried out for years. We are considering all the possibilities to increase the investment potential of our region. Therefore, we are ready to support investment projects that can contribute to the development of Atyrau,” said Dosmukhambetov.
“For the first stage of project implementation, machines have already been purchased, orders for production machines have been made, and a feasibility study of projects has been prepared. The first project is a workshop for the production of geosynthetics, with the creation of 38 permanent jobs. Its capacity will be 3 million square meters of geotextiles per year. The second project is a workshop for the production of extrusion geosynthetics with an annual capacity of 5 million square meters, where 44 people will get permanent jobs,” the investor's representative O.Kostylev said.
Initially, the raw materials needed for the workshops will be imported. After the completion of the construction of an integrated gas chemical complex in Atyrau, the enterprise will completely switch to local raw materials. It is planned to release various finished products required for construction. In the future, the products can be exported to neighboring countries.
The construction of the shops is planned to be fully completed by the end of 2021 and to start production.
