Six suspected members of the outlawed Hizb ut-Tahrir organization have been detained in the Issyk-Kul region in northern Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz National Security Committee said on Monday, Interfax reported.
A large amount of extremist leaflets and DVDs and illegal weapons were seized at the detainees' homes.
A criminal case was opened, and the detainees were charged with incitement to racial or religious feud, storing and transportation of extremist materials and deliberate use extremist symbols.
