Profile Committee of Kyrgyz parliament failed to decide on the introduction of a special payment for the supply of fuel at Transit Center Manas, 24.kg reported. Today this bill triggered a dispute among parliamentarians at a meeting of the Committee on Fiscal and Monetary Policy Zhogorku Kenesh.

Government representatives insisted that the bill violates the agreement with the United States. In turn, the deputy Akylbek Zhaparov asked committee members to approve the bill to attract more than KGS 1 billion in the budget for teacher salaries indexing.

As deputy head of the State Tax Service Zamirbek Osmonov noted, with introduction of this tax, the government should set it in the Tax Code as a new type of tax. "But it is doubtful whether it will work because is not registered in an international agreement, which has a higher status than any code has," he added.

As a result, the deputy chairman of the committee Zhanysh Kudaibergenov acknowledged that the committee can not reject the bill, as it was approved on first reading at a plenary session of parliament. "But we can not support the bill due to numerous contentious issues. There is only one way out - to send the bill to the House," he concluded.
