BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev met with the EBRD’s Managing director in Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai and Director of the EBRD office in Kyrgyzstan Ayten Rustamova, Trend reports via Ministry’s press service.
During the meeting on September 22, a number of investment projects in the field of green economy, irrigation, transport and infrastructure, as well as projects to support small and medium-sized businesses were discussed.
Hargitai noted the readiness of the EBRD to support Kyrgyzstan in projects on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, drinking water supply, and projects for the development of entrepreneurship.
In addition, she expressed her interest in the development of new economic corridors.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the EBRD, by drafting and implementing new joint projects
