BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Austria from January through February 2023 increased by nearly 2.5 times year-on-year, while its share in Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to 0.1 percent, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with Austria reached $2.28 million from $885,400 in the first two months of 2022.
Exports from Kyrgyzstan to Austria decreased by almost 86 percent totaling $26,300 from $187,100 in the corresponding period of 2022.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported Austria goods worth $2.25 million from January through February 2023, which is an increase of almost 3.2 times over the specified period of 2022 ($698,300).
Meanwhile, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Austria made up $14.5 million in 2022, which is an increase of 2.3 times compared to 2021 ($6 million).
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Austria reached $575,900, increasing by almost 33 percent compared to $17,500 in 2021.
Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Austria totaled $13.9 million last year, which is 2.3 times more than $6 million in 2021.
Meantime, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $1.7 billion from January through February 2023, which is a 22.7-percent increase year-on-year ($1.3 billion in the same period of 2023).
Kyrgyzstan’s exports reached $255.6 million, increasing by 2 percent over $250.2 million in the corresponding months of 2022.
The imports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $1.4 billion, which is a growth of 27.2 percent year-on-year ($1.1 billion from January through February 2022).
