BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The total value of trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan significantly increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports referring to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.

Tajikistan’s trade turnover with Kazakhstan from January through March 2022 totaled $353.8 million, which is an increase of 30.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($271.7 million).

Kazakhstan’s exports to Tajikistan amounted to $206.6 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is an increase of 4.4 percent compared to $197.8 million in the same period of 2021.

The value of Tajikistan’s exported goods totaled $147.2 million also increased by 99.1 percent compared to $73.9 million in the reporting period of 2021.

Tajikistan's largest trading partners in the reporting period were Russia ($365.4 million), Kazakhstan ($353.8 million) and Uzbekistan ($163.4 million).
