Gasoline prices jump up in Turkmenistan

Since Feb. 1, 2018, gasoline prices in Turkmenistan have grown 1.5 times, Turkmen Oil Products (Turkmennebitonumleri) concern said in a message.

One liter of RON 95 (AI-95) gasoline now costs about 42 cents, and one liter of AI-92 gasoline costs about 38 cents in Turkmenistan, according to the message.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov earlier signed a decree to cancel the issuance of free gasoline coupons to the owners of cars and motorcycles in the country starting from July 1, 2014.

Previously, the authorized banking institutions of Turkmenistan issued limited coupons for gasoline and diesel fuel every six months. The coupons allowed to get free RON 95 (A 95) gasoline in the total volume of 720 liters (120 liters per month) for each car.
