BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Businessmen of Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas during trading on June 7 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.

Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 3,000 tons of liquefied gas on the exchange at a price of $496 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $1.4 million.

At the same time, on May 14, Afghan businessmen purchased liquefied natural gas in the amount of $2.3 million.

Furthermore, according to the exchange, the price of Turkmen liquefied gas increased by 4.6 percent compared to previous transactions.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
