(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov signed a resolution "with a view to implementing the tasks put before the gas sector of Turkmenistan and increasing efficiency and stability of work of the compressor station designed to transport natural gas for exports and domestic consumption." According to the resolution, the state concern Turkmengas is authorized to sign a contract with British company Velver Limited for the supply of 20 gas turbine engines NK-12ST and NK-14ST for gas pumping units, reports Trend.
The total cost of the contract exceeds US $ 27 mln.
