President Islam Karimov approved a decree of the Uzbek-Irish intergovernmental convention on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion of taxes on income and property.
The document was signed in July 2012 during the visit of Chairman of the State Tax Committee Botir Parpiev in Dublin by the invitation of the Ministry of Finance of Ireland.
Uzbekistan is the first country in Central Asia, with which Ireland has signed such a document.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed to send a notification to the Irish side about performance of Uzbekistan internal procedures, those necessary for the entry of convention into force.
