Head of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Uzbekistan and the head of the Football Federation of the Republic Mirabror Usmanov was elected president of the Central Asian Football Federation, the Committee told Trend.
"The meeting of the new Federation in Kuwait has decided to elect Mirabror Usmanov its president," said the representative of the NOC.
The representative went on to add that the decision on creation of the Central Asian zone, which included the football federations of six countries of the region, was approved at the Congress of the Asian Football Confederation in June 2014.
The office of the Central Asian Football Federation will be located in Tashkent. This sport football organization includes Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
