Uzbekistan, Slovakia to hold political consultations

Foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Slovakia will hold political consultations November 2-4, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said in a message.
The consultations are to be held within the framework of the visit of Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Lukas Parizek, the press service said.
“The delegation of the Slovak Republic headed by the state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Lukas Parizek, will visit Uzbekistan on November 2-4,” reads the message.
The program of the visit will also comprise discussion of topical issues of bilateral relations in the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, as well as a trip to Samarkand region.
The two countries have gained considerable cooperation experience in many spheres; the Uzbek-Slovak relations are regulated by more than 20 intergovernmental documents, including the agreements on cooperation in the field of air transport, tourism, fight against organized crime and protocols on cooperation of foreign political and foreign trade agencies.
Meetings at highest level between Uzbekistan and Slovakia are being held, and the contacts between the parliaments, ministries and agencies have been established.
