The total volume of imports of goods and services to Uzbekistan in the first two months of 2021 amounted to $3 billion, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, mostly from January through February 2021 Uzbekistan’s import accounted for China - $623 million, Russia - $618.4 million, and Kazakhstan $433.7 million.
In addition, the top ten of Uzbekistan’s main supplier of goods and services included Turkey with imports worth $188.9 million, South Korea - $169.5 million, India - $80.8 million, Lithuania - $72.1 million, Germany - $71 million, Ukraine - $57.9 million and Turkmenistan - $56.2 million.
Thus, a significant part of the import of goods and services fell on China with the share of the total volume of imports amounting to 21.3 percent, Russia - 19.7 percent, h Korea - 10 percent, Kazakhstan - 9.9 percent, Turkey - 5.1 percent, Germany - 3.6 percent and Czech - 2.4 percent.
Earlier it was reported that the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for 2M2020 reached $4.5 billion, decreasing by $1.4 million (23.8 percent).
Thus, the total volume of the foreign trade turnover, exports amounted to $1.5 (a 43.2 percent decrease was noted against 2M2020), and imports - $3 million (8.3 percent). As a result, the balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to a passive balance in the amount of $1.5 million.
