Jam Petrochemical Complex broke the Middle East's ethylene production record by reaching the daily output of 3,211 tons of the product, the complex's managing director said here on Sunday.
SHANA quoted Hassan Beigi as saying that, "On July 9, the complex''s production amounted to 3,211 tons valued at more than $2.5 million."
"We are planning to break the world's ethylene production record in the near future," Beigi added.
"Currently, more than 90 percent of the complex's products are being exported," he explained.
