President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has submitted the parliament two bills on double taxation avoidance and tax evasion control relating to trade between Iran and Azerbaijan, the Mehr News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The measure is aimed at putting the two-way trade in order and promoting bilateral economic relations.
Double taxation is the imposition of two or more taxes on the same income (in the case of income taxes), asset (in the case of capital taxes), or financial transaction (in the case of sales taxes).
