Iran’s exports of non-oil goods, technical-engineering services hit $18 billion

Iran exported $15.7 billion worth of non-oil goods and $2.3 billion worth of technical and engineering services during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which began on March 20, the Customs Administration head said.

Abbas Memarnejad told the ISNA news agency that some 4.5 million tons of goods were also transited via Iran during the mentioned period of time.

On August 27, Memarnejad said that Iran imported some 15.7 million tons of goods, worth around $21.9 billion in the five-month period of time.

The official added that Iran exported around $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods in the past calendar year and imported some $61.8 billion worth of goods, to hit the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade.
